Well we cashed in on all the apps! I have 6 apps that I use to earn money by snapping pics of my receipts. I think it's important to note that retailers want to know how you're spending your money and this is why you can do this. So if you're trying to avoid being tracked this is not for you. I was that person but at the end of the day.. I have an iphone... iykyk!
I'm finding I am earning an average of $5 a month per app. No that's not a lot BUT with 6 of them That's $30 a month or $360 a year. Just for spending as I normally do and taking a few moments at the end of day to snap a photo of them! If you purchase lots of name brand items you will earn even more! I purchase lots of store brands because that's what works in our budget.
We are using our earnings to go to Disney but you can literally do anything with your earnings! Almost all of them allow you to transfer your cash back to PayPal or a Visa Card.
Here's what we are using and links to learn more about them, including my referral links so we both get a bonus!
Fetch is the most well known one. You have the ability to earn bonus points on this one by purchasing certain items. I always take a look at the offers to see if they're things we can use. They do not offer a PayPal option but we get a Walmart Card or Amazon and use it for our normal purchases so we can move that money over from our normal budget to our Disney budget.
Receipt Hog is so straight forward and simple, take a photo of your receipt.. points added to your account. You can redeem "coins" for money via PayPal, Visa Card or Amazon Card starting at $5.
Receipt Pal allows you to link your email for digital receipts which is nice but tends to take a long time to upload, at least they have for me. This one puts your receipts under brief review so you won't see the points be added immediately.
The other 3 are: Coin Out, Pogo and Receipt Jar. I'm brand new at using these but will write about them when I have more experience and can say if they're worth it or not!
Ever notice how just a few items in your cart add up super fast? Or how you only bought a few things but you're out of money? Saving money works that way too. Yeah $5 here and there doesn't look like much but it does add up and can make the difference! I'll be honest, it's much easier for me to apply this to my Disney saving strategies than my every day strategies.. But one day at a time!
